Who We Are

PlayProbe (playprobe.io) is operated by Jakub Gabčo, trading as Drages Studio, Lidická 700/19, 602 00 Brno-Veveří, Czechia, IČO 06831109. For personal data processed through PlayProbe, we act as the data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), except for data collected through the Unity SDK inside a developer's game — see Unity SDK and Player Data below.

What Data We Collect

We collect only the data needed to run and improve PlayProbe.

• Account data: email address, display name, and password hash handled through Supabase Auth.
• Usage data: tests created, sessions run, and feedback responses submitted.
• Technical data: IP address (for security and abuse prevention), browser type, and device type.
• Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
• Tester profiles: gaming preferences and platform preferences, if you create a tester account.
• Analytics data: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records page views and product events along with a randomly generated analytics identifier.
• Error and diagnostic data: when something goes wrong, we record the error message, stack trace, the page you were on, your browser type, and — if you are signed in — your account ID, so we can reproduce the bug.
• Newsletter data: if you sign up for launch updates, your email address, until you unsubscribe.
• Screen recordings: only when a developer enables them and only after you explicitly start recording and grant your browser's screen-share permission. You can skip this and still take part in a test.

Why We Collect It (Legal Basis)

• Account data and payment processing: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Security, abuse prevention, and error diagnostics: our legitimate interests in keeping the service available and working (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Analytics cookies: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
• Screen recordings: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), requested explicitly and freely declinable.
• Newsletter emails: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), withdrawable via the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Meeting our legal obligations, such as retaining invoices for tax purposes (Art. 6(1)(c)).

How We Use Your Data

We use personal data to run the platform, manage accounts, process billing, send transactional emails (such as session notifications and test results), diagnose faults, and improve the product. We do not sell personal data, we do not use your data for advertising, and we do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Who We Share It With

We share data only with the service providers ("processors") needed to operate PlayProbe. Each is bound by a data processing agreement.

We also send internal alerts containing error details to our own operations channel so we can react to outages. We do not share personal data with any other third parties, and we never sell it. We may disclose data where we are legally required to do so.

International Transfers

Our database and file storage are hosted in the United Kingdom, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection, so no additional safeguard is required for those transfers.

Some of our other providers are based in, or may process data from, the United States. Those transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and otherwise on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses together with supplementary technical measures such as encryption in transit and at rest. Unity SDK and Player Data

When a game developer integrates the PlayProbe Unity SDK into their game, the SDK sends us gameplay telemetry — session duration, frame-rate metrics, in-game position data, custom game events, crash reports, and any survey answers or Instant Feedback the player submits, including optional screenshots.

When a player submits Instant Feedback, the SDK also attaches a technical snapshot of the machine so the developer can reproduce performance problems: operating system and version, CPU model, GPU model, amount of RAM and video memory, and the device type and hardware model. Note that this hardware profile can be fairly distinctive even though it contains no name or account details. The SDK does not collect advertising identifiers, contact details, precise location, or any persistent cross-app device ID.

For this data the developer is the data controller and PlayProbe is their processor: we handle it on the developer's documented instructions and do not use it for our own purposes. If you are a player and want to exercise your rights over data collected inside a game, contact the developer of that game — they decide what is collected and why. Developers integrating the SDK are responsible for telling their players about it and for obtaining any consent required in their jurisdiction; our Data Processing Agreement sets out those obligations.

Data Retention

• Active account data is retained while your account remains active.
• Session recordings are automatically deleted after 30 days by a daily job.
• Instant Feedback screenshots are automatically deleted after 30 days by a daily job.
• Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for up to 14 months.
• Error and diagnostic records are retained for up to 90 days.
• Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.
• Invoices and billing records are retained for 10 years, as required by Czech accounting and tax law.
• Deleted account data is removed within 30 days of a verified deletion request, except records we must keep by law.

Your GDPR Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy.
• Have inaccurate data corrected.
• Have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten").
• Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
• Restrict how we process your data.
• Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.

You can start a data export or account deletion request from your account settings, or email [email protected]. We verify ownership before acting and aim to respond within 30 days. Exercising these rights is free of charge.

Withdrawing Consent

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, and it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

• Analytics cookies: use Cookie settings here or in the footer of any page.
• Screen recordings: stop a recording at any time, or decline it when asked.
• Newsletter: click unsubscribe in any newsletter email.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your personal data unlawfully, please contact us first at [email protected] — we would like the chance to put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our lead authority is the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, Czechia — uoou.cz. You may also complain to the supervisory authority in your own country of residence.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to the operator of the service and protected by row-level security rules in the database. If a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the supervisory authority within 72 hours and inform you without undue delay where the law requires it.

Children

PlayProbe is not intended for users under 16 years old, and we ask you to confirm your age when you create an account or join a test session. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify registered users by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of PlayProbe after that means you accept the updated policy.
